Diversity
Diversity refers to the range of differences within groups or communities, both inherent (like ethnicity, gender, age) and acquired (such as education, experience, and values).
Equity
Equity emphasises fair treatment and opportunities by valuing differences rather than expecting conformity, and unlike equality (which gives everyone the same opportunity and can inadvertently benefit the most privileged), equity ensures individuals receive the specific support they need to access those opportunities.
Accessibility
Accessibility means accommodating diverse needs and preferences so that the greatest number of people can participate, recognising that not everyone can use the same resources and opportunities.
