Robotics Inclusive offers a community within the robotics research, industry, and education sectors to bring together people of all backgrounds and create a space for collaboration, connection, and changemaking.
We invite our members to help us in our core mission to support recruitment, retention and promotion in robotics.
We elevate the voices of those within the robotics community who have traditionally been marginalised.
We are a community in which everyone feels included and is able to share ideas, and be listened to. This also means that everyone takes the time to actively listen to and learn from others, especially to those with diverse life experiences.
We want everyone to feel supported, and in doing so we welcome and celebrate diversity in backgrounds, including but not limited to, gender, sexuality, neurotype, race, class, age, and ability. Many in our community exist in an intersection of diverse groups and we understand that privilege takes many forms and is often not able to be compared across groups.
We host events and hold spaces for particular groups, such as women or neurodiverse people, in order to address issues which affect specific sets of people. All are welcome to attend such events with a respectful and open mind.
We welcome the membership and participation of those who have traditionally been positioned as privileged within the robotics community, in an effort to share experiences and work together to make the world of robotics a more inclusive space.
We acknowledge that we are all learning and strive to continually improve in our approach to inclusiveness. We welcome feedback and contribution from our community in achieving this goal.
